FAQ
How do I sign up for membership?

You don’t. The process is by application only. Once accepted, you’ll join Joel in an Initiation Session and start with a 30-day free trial. If one of our 150 seats is open, you’re in. If not, you’ll be placed on the waitlist.

What’s the difference between Access, Member, and Teams?

Forum Access is free and includes limited access to conversations and events.

Forum Member unlocks full discussion access, all Accelerators, Weekly Roundtables and Replay Library (including our Forum Private Podcast), elite resources, live sessions with Joel, and more.

Forum Teams includes everything in Member, with unlimited seats for your leadership team and VIP-level support.

If I downgrade to Access, can I later reactivate Member?

Member seats are capped at 150. If you downgrade, you move to the waitlist and can only reactivate when a current Member leaves and a seat becomes available. The wait may be several months or more.

Are discounts available?

Yes. Annual memberships receive a discount. Studios based outside the US, Canada, EU, and APAC may qualify for additional discounts to offset the strength of the US dollar.

What kinds of studios are in Forum?

All members lead independent creative studios spanning motion, animation, visual effects, live action, experiential, sound, and music. Member team sizes range from 2–40 and generate $500K–$10M per year.

What is Forum Reserve?

Forum Reserve is Joel Pilger’s 1-on-1 advisory for qualified studios. It’s highly limited and by application only.
